LOL, I knew there there was no possible way that this site would be more successfull than youtube.

They have no features that are useable. They deleted all of the fox content off of youtube, and all in one lame attempt they try to detour you to their crappy website. But people can simply download their shows, or stream them from other countries.

They also force you to watch lame advertisements just as though you are watching television. One of the main purposes of streaming television shows is to avoid commercials.

I will stream from either Youtube, Youku, Megavideo, Veoh, todou, or any other major streaming site, but never hulu.

Hulu.com is the WORST. It's bad that they can stream to other sites.. but we can't view them because we don't live in the States! I see them on YouTube advertising there 30 to 2 min clips they say "Watch Your Favorite Shows. Anytime. For Free." they should add "Only in the USA.. otherwise you guys are fucked"

To be honest, I don't see how they'd be allowed to offer their content if they didn't restrict it heavily. But the way they are marketing themselves, they get a lot of international visibility, up to the point where content is placed exclusively on their site (like Joss Whedon's latest work for example). And that's the point where everybody gets screwed royally, including Americans who live abroad.

Anything you find on hulu, no matter how exclusive, will be out for 1 day before someone releases it on youtube

Hulu's buffering ability is tragically sucky. If I wanted to interact with the content this much just to watch something, I'd buy a TV.

Hulu is better than the rest. Why? Better res. Youtube videos are like what? 100i at BEST? Yokou? LOL talk about horrible quality and super slow buffering even WORSE than Hulu. ALL Hulu hows,movies,and videos come in 380p, and 480. And even some come in 1080i..... need i say more? And all of you are so fucking stupid whining how you can't view it if your not in the USA. It's a site MADE for Americans, and all you have to do is use a Proxy server....

Also buffering isn't really up to Hulu, it's YOUR connection speed. If you got some shitty 56k don't expect high res tv shows to magically stream flawlessly. Wow, people claim Americans are dumb, you guys prove otherwise.

I do agree, Hulu blows, but why are you guys saying fuck America? We don't control Hulu and if we did believe me, we'd make it a lot better. Hulu controls Hulu. Thats why I like Todou, youtube (sometimes but their copyright laws suck), and Youku (though some of their videos are banned in certain regions like AMERICA).
I do watch tv but there are certain things I want to watch online AND I love to watch foreign tv, there should be an international tv thingy on the web were people can watch live tv from anywhere in the world. That would be bangin'

Hulu is a pretty cool website. You can watch alot good tv shows for free at much higher quality than Youtube and they have most major tv shows. So stop bashing them for not letting you watch it outside of the US because they can do what ever the fuck they want. They don't not want to let non-Americans play their shows because they are "self righteous" its because they don't want to have to deal with the copyright issues and besides no one cares about Canada. From what I've seen Canadians are the self righteous ones acting all superior despite the fact that their country is a cultural wasteland, the Phillipines has nearly double the military might they have, the only way the even got their independence was because Britain ALLOWED them to be independent to keep the US from expanding any further north, and it took them 61 years after they became independent to come up with a flag which they sent to Britain for approval. Yes, HULU really does suck! This is one thing the United States still can't get right! I can watch full content from a variety of countries without buffering problems. It's their pitiful video player that always claims it is buffering and then freezes. What kind of idiots did they hire? Do they ever test out their site on a regular basis? I am going to notify their advertisers that they are paying to advertise for nothing and that people eventually just leave the site. By the way, I have a 30 MB download speed...about as fast you can get....so what is their excuse?

Im watching Hulu from the Netherlands,I also use hotspotshield,To watch hulu.
But still hulu buffers alot.Just terrible.
And dont give me bullshit that my internet is slow because i am using internet via fiberglass faster than cable...

To all you "Hulu is better than YouTube" nutjobs, I can view 720p high def content on YouTube, full screen and smooth, thank you. But I can't get @#$%*! Hulu to let me watch it even in minuscule 360p because it's bandwidth is narrower than a mosquito dick. Trying to watch it full screen is an exercise in stupefying self-flagellation. It's like watching claymation in slow-mo. And Hulu has the gall to tell me to check MY bandwidth and try again. 11 Mbps should be plenty for 720p, much less Hulu's palsied, microscopic 360p. Same Adobe Flash 10 video player for both Hulu and YouTube, but YouTube figured out how to make it work. Hulu figured out how to make you realize how much happier you would have been watching 13 channels on an old black-and-white TV with rabbit ear antennas, chewing tin foil and sipping pig bile...in North Korea, surrounded by Communist Party hacks regaling each other with the great achievements of the Dear Leader.
