Saw Geeks. And Nasty People. Date: 2007-10-04 00:53:10
So I've finally watched Beauty and the Geek! It's one of the elimination-style reality TV shows that pollute the airwaves in huge numbers because they are cheap ass to produce and they make viewers feel good about themselves because watching horrendously stupid people clawing their eyes out on national television somehow gives them the impression that it is OK to be horrendously stupid.
Actually, the show has quite a bit of charme. By the way it is filmed and cut I choose to believe that the producers actually despise the contestants as much as I do. Beauty and the Geek is a show where male geeks stereotypes are thrown in teams together with a female (horrendously stupid) no-brain model type each. Luckily though, it is not a dating show or anything. The pairs have to solve standard problems centering on the perceived weak spots of geeks and "beauties" respectively to determine which team overcame the limitations of their stereotypical personality type best.
The reason why I put "beauties" in quotes (oops, did it again) is that most of these girls not only have IQs in the lower sixties and no education to boot, but mainly because almost all of them look ridiculous. Their most prominent features are their monstrous, carricature-like boobs and fake smiles that at the same time convey malevolence and utter dumbness. I seriously, seriously had no idea such people exist in the purest form of the stereotype. Sadly though, they do.
Anyway, it's a fun show, watch it some time. The casting they do on the candidates is hilarious. The only thing that I really hated was the way the geeks fawned over the presumed "beauty" (oops) of the girls though you can tell even by watching crappy low-resolution TV footage what horrible hags most of them really are.
