So almost every concert in Germany is can be booked through some obscure online ticket service – in most cases that’s eventim.de. I wasn’t in the need to order tickets myself for a while but now since Friday is the release party of Nightwish’s new album, I just had to. Eventim takes two kinds of payments: automatic bank collection and credit card payment. There is nothing on earth that can possibly go wrong with bank collection, this is the method of choice to pay for things online in Germany. I ordered, I paid. Big mistake.
Today I get a note from eventim that my order has been canceled due to some technical processing error. They don’t know why, they don’t care. And why don’t I just buy the tickets again. Sure, I’d love to, but of course by now the event is only three days away and they don’t sell tickets for stuff on that short notice. And I sooo wanted to go!
That’s right up there with all the worst customer service experiences I had! Oh well, I’ll try to not repeat my mistakes…

Eventim is so annoying!!!!!

I put my order through, all okay, well so I thought!!!

Eventim is a bunch of idiots. Their website is awful, especially the austrian one. In the US they have TicketMaster which is lightyears ahead of eventim.
